Reiki Master Program

Several years after I took the first Reiki training, I felt a calling to do what I once considered the unthinkable: become a Reiki Master.  I had a deep appreciation for the woman who had initiated me into I and II, but I connected with Mary McFadyen, a woman Mrs. Takata herself had initiated. It took time and patience, as many of the old mystery schools do. Four amazing years later, I completed her Master training. It was an incredible adventure that became an archetypal hero’s journey. Sometimes I felt a little like Mr. Frodo without a Sam. Had I been able to see those years before I committed, I may not have had the courage to step up. What happened to me at initiation I will not disclose, but I will say that some would pay or do almost anything for the experience I had. Mary McFadyen is perhaps the only original Reiki master from Mrs. Takata still globetrotting in her quest to bring Reiki to people like me. I grew into a better person through her training.

I give my Master Candidates all I have received

That’s what I transmit to my students. A Reiki Master Candidate who approaches me will be taken very seriously. I consider accepting a Reiki Master Candidate a great responsibility as well as a great honor. Because I went through a lengthy program prior to initiation, I know the benefits of it. I offer a program similar to the one I received from Mary. Expect to study with me closely for at least two years – maybe much longer. We’ll both know when you;re ready to be initiated.

How to get started

An applicant must ask to be accepted into a traditional master training program and may not be accepted. We will both have things to do during the interview period.  Even the commitment to make the application can be a learning process.  I will take your application more seriously than you do, because you only think you know what lies ahead and that you have the skills to deal with it. I’ve been there and know the skills you need. We need to learn a little about each other. Some people may not be mature enough or be a fit with the Master they want to study with, or the timing might not be right. I learned patience and perseverance, courage, self acceptance, how to let go, how to set aside fear, and what is really in my heart, among other things I never learned in any college in my training. I will give you the same if we are a match for each other. If it’s right, it’s an amazing adventure. We’ll both be changed for the better.
